Itinerary

Day 1

Entebbe     The arrival of your flight at the Entebbe International Airport. Customs and immigration procedures. (A negative Covid-19 test result must be provided and another test will also be taken while on ground.) You will be warmly welcomed by our tour leader outside customs and immigration hall. Transfer to your hotel, Arrive and check-in assistance. Tour briefing will be at the lobby. Dinner will follow and overnight stay. Day 2

Entebbe Q (Kihihi) Bwindi Impenetrable Forest           06h00:  Very early breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfer to Entebbe Airport for your schedule Aerolink flight to Bwindiimpenetrable forest and national park, departing at 07h45. 08h55:Land at Kihihi Airstrip met by the camp driver guide and transfers to Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp for check-in. Relax and enjoys your surroundings. Lunch.  This afternoon, you will depart for the Batwa people village tour.  You will get a glimpse of the daily life of the pygmies. During this tour, the Batwa demonstrate hunting techniques; gather honey, point out medicinal plants and demonstrate bamboo cups. The Batwa who are the original human inhabitants of uwa park a Forest Reserve, have now been moved out of the Forest and taken on the responsibility of guarding this forest. They will give you briefing and a demonstration of their lives including hunting, harvesting and way of life. This is followed by guided nature walk led by the Batwa as your local guides since they are the true experts of this environment. This forest reserve is a fantastic birding destination with an estimated record of 150 species of birds. Variety of flora and fauna and a few primates can be spotted during the nature walk. (Please wear comfortable shoes as the walk may be steep) You will return to the camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay Once-in-a-lifetime encounters with Uganda’s endangered gorillas await when you stay in one of these eight private luxury tents in the heart of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Ecologically respectful, contemporary-yet-classic in style, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp blends in sensitively with the dramatic African mountain landscape and, situated uniquely inside the national park, you are only minutes away from the start of your gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 3

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest  After an early breakfast and briefing from the guides, set off for the mountains gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. You will need to carry drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas. After tracking, come back to the camp for late lunch. The afternoon will be at leisure to rest and enjoy the amazing scenery. You will also have a relaxing massage at the spa (optional for a supplement). Dinner and overnight stay

Day 4

Bwindi Q  Entebbe Breakfast at the camp and check out assistance. You will be transferred to kihihi airstrip for your schedule aerolink flight to entebbe, departing at 09h25. Land at 11h25, met by our representative and proceed to  have lunch at a local restaurant.  14h00: visit the Entebbe zoo. The two-hour educative adventure offers  a special inside look tour and interesting information about how they take care of  the residents (animals and birds). You will have a close-up and personal encounter with the lions, elephants plus many more wonders you have perhaps never imagined meeting.

Activities Uganda Wildlife Education Centre

The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre is a fun and exciting place to see and learn about the animals of Uganda and the ecosystems in which they live. Take some time to learn how they live, eat, play, and talk.  Originally founded in the 1950s to accommodate confiscated and injured wildlife and to look after orphan animals which have been taken away from smugglers it has grown considerably in recent years. Many say it’s destined to become the most important showcase for wildlife on the African continent.

Day 5

Entebbe End of Itinerary Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfer to the Entebbe International airport. Bid farewell to your guide and proceed to check in for your outbound flight.
