Day 01 ADDIS – LANGANO
Early in the morning arrive in Addis. Beginning of the tour in Addis Ababa, morning short tour of the capital, lunch Drive to the Rift Valley lake of Langano and on the way the Rift valley lakes (Southern Lakes) there are seven Lakes, visit Lake Ziway surrounded by blue volcanic hill different aquatic birds; the hot spring and visit to Lakes Abiata and Shalla different varieties birds and mammals. Then proceed to the Rift Valley lake of Langano, possibility of trekking, bird-watching, swimming and more; overnight in Savana Lodge.
Day 02 LANGANO – ARBAMINCH
Early in the morning at 07:00drive to Arbaminch 275kms. Arbaminch in Amharic meaning 40 springs. Admire very interesting views and the Wolayta people, their villages, culture, the cultivation of the false banana tree (from which roots they extract their traditional bread, the Kotcho) and more and drive direct to Chencha, to visit the Dorze people and village with their Bee-Hive like tubules and traditional weaving culture, their particular weaving works for which they are famous, strange houses, cultivation of sorghum and the false banana and more with spectacular, you will have attractive views over the Chamo and Abaya lakes with bright afternoon sunlight; overnight in Arbaminch Swaynes Hotel.
Day 03 ARBAMINCH – KONSO
In the morning visit to Lake Chamo by boat trip to see Crocodiles, Hippos and birds particularly Pelicans and at 12:00drive to Konso 100kms, visit Konso where colorfully costumed dress, impressive terracing of the land and unusually engraved wooden statues used as a grave marker can be seen. Visit Konso people village, which are famous for the terracing agriculture, and have particular way of life and traditions; overnight in Konso Kanta Lodge.
Day 04 KONSO – JINKA
In the morning at 08:00drive to Jinka 180kms. Then cross the Weyto river valley and Tsemay, Ari and Benna people and possibly on the way if the day you arrive on Thursday visit the very colorful Key Afer village market of the Tsemay, Ari and Benna people and possibly market; overnight in Jinka Resort.
Day 05 JINKA
Enter into the Mago National park, admiring different mammals and birds on the way; and proceed to visit the Mursi people and villages. Here for beauty women use to put round plates into their lips and drive back to Jinka visit Ethnological museum; overnight in Jinka Resort.
Day 06 JINKA – TURMI
In the morning at 07:00 drive to Turmi 160kms on the way if the day you arrive is on Thursday or Saturday very colorful markets respectively at Key Afer or Dimeka and village and then drive to Murulle 120kms and take lunch box, visit Karo tribes and their village for their very interesting decoration and scarification all over their body; and very nice views over Omo river from Kortcho village.; overnight in Turmi Evangadi Lodge.
Day 07 TURMI
Drive to Omorate excursion Omorate and visit Dassanech (Gelab) tribe are famous for their hairstyles, ornaments, scarification, culture and more and then drive to Turmi for visit the Hammer people culture and market their attractive villages. If the day you arrive is MON or SAT admire the very colorful markets of the Hamer, Karo and Dassanech tribes respectively at Turmi or Dimeka villages. These tribes are famous for their hairstyles, ornaments, scarification, culture and more. Depends on the season or time visit to participate to their marriage ceremonies, with the bull jumping & more and we’ll try also evening by chance you will see the traditional dance of the Hammer people; overnight in Turmi Evangadi Lodge.
Day 08 TURMI – YABELO
Drive to Yabelo; visit Erbore people and visit their villages & culture. Visit “El Sod” for Borana (Oromo people) salt extracting and at Dublock for singing wells some; overnight in Yabelo Motel.
Day 09 YABELO – LOYANGALANI
Drive to Loyangalani, at bank of Lake Turkana. Admire here the Turkana and Samburu tribes, with very interesting culture & villages. Dinner & ON Oasis lodge
Day 10 LOYANGALANI
A day to enjoy these very interesting tribes, and also Elmolo bay, or south island. Optional make a boat excursion too. Back for dinner & ON Oasis lodge or similar
Day 11 LOYANGALANI – MARALAL
Drive to Baragol & proceed to Maralal sanctuary. Dinner & ON Lodge.
Day 12 MARALAL – SAMBURU
Proceed to the Samburu National park, one of the richest & more interesting parks in Kenya. Very wide number of animals leave in the park; admire so the numerous fauna & a very interesting flora. Meals & ON in lodge
Day 13 SAMBURU
Proceed to Buffalo springs reserve & game drive. Meals & ON Lodge.
Day 14 SAMBURU
Drive to Mount Kenya National park, another extremely interesting park, with different flora & fauna. Optional make also different walks. Meals & ON in lodge.
Day 15 SAMBURU – NAIROBI
Drive to Nairobi & have the afternoon tour of Nairobi. Dinner at the famous carnivore restaurant, before transfer to airport for departure (or if next day, ON Panafric or similar 4* hotel in Nairobi).
